Attacks are being carried out by right wing, fundamentalist Christian terrorists in this country on an ever-increasing basis. However, it has still not been officially recognized as a point for investigation and enforcement.
Every time a women's clinic is bombed, or a physician is killed, we are assured that it is a "lone wolf" acting on some misinterpretation of holy writ or due to mental derangement. But this is not, and hasn't ever been, the case.
There is a widespread wave of violence against those that provide sensitive services to women, and that violence is based in hateful rhetoric hiding behind First Amendment rights. It is time that the government and law enforcement agencies of this country made it clear that this violence based in religious zealotry will not go unpunished.
