To make it our stated national policy to actively aid the displaced people of Syria while avoiding direct military involvement in the Syrian civil war.
This will demonstrate that the government of the US will focus efforts on distributing or providing aid to the displaced people which will allow time for international diplomatic means to force a political resolution to the war.
The visible use of US warships, vehicles, aircraft and personnel in the surrounding countries to aid in the relief efforts instead of their more martial use can be a huge story that I want my country to write for the Muslim world to see.
