publicly denounce all usage of the N-word as an intolerable injury to the dignity and well-being of African Americans

N*gger, N*gga, and any other variations of the N-word were created solely to oppress and denigrate African Americans. Such a word cannot and should not be examined from either a historical or contemporary context. It still, as it always has, serves to maim the spirit and break the will of all Black people in this country. This word is in no way endearing; just like how pejorative terms used to impugn women, other racial/ethnic groups, and the LGBTQ community cannot evolve into the nomenclature of affection. For these reasons, I ask that President Obama publicly denounce this word, its usage, and its users as being rooted in the spirits of ignorance and intolerance which his historic administration seeks to counteract.
