Publicly denounce Russia's recently-enacted law banning "gay propaganda," which criminalizes any pro-LGBT speech.

"Gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights." In her 2011 address in Geneva, former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton expressed more clearly than ever the Obama administration's commitment to advancing LGBT rights internationally. In June of 2013, Vladamir Putin signed into Russian law a bill outlawing "gay propaganda," described in a New York Times editorial by Harvey Feirstein: "The law is broad and vague, so that any teacher who tells students that homosexuality is not evil, any parents who tell their child that homosexuality is normal, or anyone who makes pro-gay statements deemed accessible to someone underage is now subject to arrest and fines."
It is consistent with the US' international stance on human rights to vociferously denounce this hateful law.
