A draft of the copyright chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership has been leaked to the public, and contains what would be significant changes to intellectual property regulation.
It is admittedly difficult to draw conclusions from a single draft document. That being said, this is only one chapter of what could become a comprehensive multilateral agreement. WIth such a wide scope, it is startling that this treaty would be negotiated entirely outside of public scrutiny. The public should understand the treaties our government participates in.
For these reasons, we request the Obama Administration disclose the United States' official positions with regard to all aspects of this proposed treaty.
