The Due Process Guarantee Act of 2011 (H.R. 3702 in the House and S. 2003 in the Senate) is a bill that would enact new legislation to essentially alleviate concerns about some of the provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act that give too much power to the government in the detention of American citizens. The bill would prevent citizens apprehended in the United States from being detained without charges or a trial.
