On inauguration day in 2009, several members of the GOP met at the Caucus Room in DC to discuss how they will do everything they can to make President Obama's tenure miserable. They did not want a positive legacy left by this President, and they would do everything they can to block and hinder his ideas. They agreed to do this even if the policies were good for Americans and even if, by blocking him, it would do economic harm to Americans.
This is exactly what the super-rich-backed GOP has been doing ever since President Obama took office!
