My petition is designed to reduce the corrupting influence of money in politics. With mandated public financing of elections, big money and corporations (which are not people)cannot buy our democracy. When coupled with election season being a maximum of nine months, we will no longer be distracted by an endless campaign silly season. This can go a long way in electing representataves who work for us, not corporate or rich benefactors.
