Publicly let the Electoral College know they’re obligated to prevent a Trump presidency, as it is a faction.

Created by J.F. on March 20, 2016

Publicly remind our Electoral College that regardless of popular vote, and per our own founding documents (specifically, the constitution and Federalist Paper, No. 10), delegates are required to prevent factions from winning the presidency of the United States, and Donald J. Trump is, by James Madison's own definition of the word, the leader of a faction. Factions, in Madison’s estimation, are defined as a number of citizens, whether a majority or minority, who are united and activated “by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adverse to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community.” For this reason we're a republic and not a direct democracy. Donald J. Trump is why we're a republic. He's why the Electoral College exists.
