General David Petraeus was the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency at the time of the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. His agency, the CIA, was responsible for the consulate and for communications between the consulate and the Department of State on the night of the attack.
Following the attack, Petraeus visited Libya and interviewed major players in the events of that night while conducting his own internal investigation.
Next week members of the Executive Branch will be testifying in front of Congress about what happened that night. We the undersigned respectfully request that the Obama administration call on Congress to subpoena Petraeus to testify on the matter at hand seeing as he will not be due to his resignation.
