Seth Meyers caused a small controversy by bucking the age-old talk-show host tradition of standing while delivering his monologue. He's opted to retreat to delivering jokes while sitting at his desk, accompanied by an image, hearkening back to his early success at SNL.
There's another comedy institution that has long relied on the proven desk/image combo - The Daily Show. Yet The Daily Show's new host, Trevor Noah, has also chosen to throw out tradition, electing to STAND next to an image at the top of his show.
The solution seems obvious - a clean switch.
