Dr King was a man who kept the promise of Liberty. He, like our very first citizens, gave his life for the cause of freedom.
While every president may decorate his or her new home as they wish, the Oval Office is the home of our Liberty. This petition respectfully asks those who would inhabit that home to honor the specific expression of Liberty that was Dr King's life, and to allow a representation of his spirit to guarantee that they never forget that this is America's story, that this is her greatest challenge, and the one that holds the greatest promise.
