Publicly support Amendment No. 3018 (Feinstein-Lee) to S.3254 (NDAA), prohibiting indefinite detention in the U.S.

We request that the president publicly and enthusiastically support the Feinstein-Lee amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013. The amendment reverses years of poorly crafted legislation that would allow indefinite detention and violations of habeas corpus within our borders of and against U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. The amendment essentially negates a signing statement that provided cold comfort to those concerned about our civil liberties.
