We The People of The United States of America respectfully request the President to come forward and publicly voice your support law enforcement’s right to protect themselves when they feel physically threatened while on duty.
Our law enforcement puts their lives on the line when on duty and while these officers know they work in a dangerous field they have the right to protect themselves and do what they can to get home to their families. We cannot forget these men and women are US citizens who have chosen to dedicate their lives to protecting the citizens of this country. We agree the use of brutal and/or fatal force should be used sparingly - we also need to acknowledge that this force will need to be used situations where the life of the officer or the lives of others are threatened
