Publish the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement Online for Citizen Review

Created by K.K. on February 23, 2014

The Trans-Pacific Partnership would expand the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement from the original handful of countries to a larger group of countries, including the United States. U.S. negotiations to join the partnership began under the G.W. Bush administration.

The agreement would create new terms under which trade would occur between and among the participating countries, and impact our local economies and environment greatly. The agreement spans many areas, including intellectual property, environmental regulation, and pharmaceuticals.

Given its large impact, we believe the text under negotiation should be made available online for review and comment.
