Puerto Rico as a 51st state

Mr. USAPresident, Mr. Obama I extend this request because the country where I was born the elections took place this past Nov6, 2012 in which they carried out a plebiscite in which Puerto Ricans we decided to change the colonial status that the island has and also voted for statehood, I worry that the party that won the elections has publicly that this referendum is not important to them and that they did not see fit to the island of Puerto Rico to become a state of the USA, I worry about the future of my country, I was born under the protection of the nation and I think that if Puerto Rico would change is to improve and that we can only get as a 51st state.
