Dear Mr. President,
I believe we Puerto Ricans are blissfully condemned to be successful. When I look up into the sky I see my country of poor settlers suddenly jumping up and transforming into a proud country of great pioneers and explorers. But when I look back, I see the chains of economic and emotional dependency making us fearful of the future… keeping us from achieving our long deserved manifest destiny.
Please, help us break the chains of dependency; give my people their morale back. Support initiatives that end the subsidized Puerto Rican welfare state, and that enable Puerto Rico to find real solutions to its problems.
Please, support Pedro Ordein’s initiative on economic reforms for Puerto Rico: http://wh.gov/iogpO
Thank you!
Francisco
