Puerto Rico has been a United States territory since 1898. Since then Puerto Ricans have fought in every major war defending freedom, democracy for people throughout the war like in Europe and Japan during WWII and recently in Iraq and Afghanistan. Puerto Ricans should enjoy the same protections and freedoms they've fought for others to have. Currently as a territory Puerto Ricans cannot vote for President and do not have representation in Congress. This is undemocratic since the federal government has wide jurisdiction in Puerto Rico. End the injustice and all Puerto Ricans a yes or no vote on statehood.
