In the Puerto Rican status referendum, 2012, people were asked several questions. The majority of the people 61% voted for statehood. Puerto Ricans voted for Puerto Rico to be the 51st state and this decision should be respected. If another vote occurs to clarify, it should be done in November 2016. If decisions are to be respected, the vote should be simple where there are only 2 choices: Yes or No for statehood. If there are arguments that the 2012 referendum was confusing, this new vote will help clarify. The voting decision needs to be clear and precise.
