Punish convicted rapists more harshly.

Created by J.C. on January 20, 2012

Rape in this country and around the world is an epidemic. It has been outlawed but the crime keeps being commited. Rape is commited by family members, friends, acquaintances and complete strangers. The attacks on both women and men continue and about 20% are at or before the age of 12. Rapists should get longer prison terms which average out, in the US, to be 11.8 years. Inmates typically serve half of that.
Those who commit these types of crimes should serve more time for their actions which rob people of dignity and cause severe emotional and physical damage.

Please sign on with me to let the government know that we want these people in jail and not in our neighborhoods and cities.
