Recently Doug Hughes landed his gyrocopter on the white house lawn in order to protest the corruption money has brought to our government. His actions caused a great deal of problems, manipulated media coverage on that day, and destabilized white house security for a period of time. He faces 9 years in prison.
Recently Citibank was accused of manipulating currencies markets in order to defraud world markets of billions. Their actions destabilized world currencies, and earned huge profits. Citibank executives face no jail time will share a $6 Billion fine with 6 other banks.
Mr Hughes committed a serious crime, and should be punished as harshly as Citibank: no jail time, and a fine equal to about 1/35th of whatever cash he has on hand at the moment.
