Purge the FCC of former lobbyists and to classify all Internet Service Providers as Common Carriers.

Created by C.T. on February 23, 2014

As the past few months have shown, current FCC regulations have not proven enough in the fight for net neutrality, a mentality that all data is equal and cannot be discriminated against by service providers. Unfortunately, it has come to light this weekend that Netflix has purchased direct access to Comcast's network, one of the largest in America, in order to secure faster speeds, which had been degrading for months. Classifying Internet Service Providers as Common Carriers would open them back up to regulation by the FCC, allowing for an Internet safe from corporate marauding. Furthermore, especially in the telecom industry, former lobbyists seem to find high positions inside of the FCC. We request that you use your power over the executive agencies to purge former lobbyists.
