pursue a Constitutional amendment to limit terms for Congress and Senate to two to be in line with the Executive branch

Created by D.H. on November 13, 2012

The House and Senate should enact a ballot measure in 2014 to allow the people of the United States to vote on a Constitutional Amendment to limit the terms of the Legislative Branch of the Federal Government. All Congressmen and Senators would be allowed by the Constitution to serve two terms and no more. All retirement packages and healthcare benefits would fall in line with the average citizen and once served, the Congressman or Senator could no longer serve in that capacity. Congressman could seek a Senate seat and a Senator could seek a Congressional seat but the stipulations of no benefits and no perks would follow them. Salaries would be capped and the American people would vote on proposed increases.
