Pursue election reform that focuses on issues rather than image and allows for the growth of third parties.

Created by M.C. on November 14, 2012

Our current election procedure and finance laws have tried to prevent the inherent corruption that can occur in large nations, they have created a system in which people vote largely on image and third parties are stifled. I propose that a new system be imposed in elections in which any third party that gets enough support in a certain number of states can become a national party and will be guaranteed slots in the debates, airtime for their convention, and entry on all state ballots. A bipartisan committee should also be in charge of summarizing each party's platform to be read on national TV. This system would show our citizens that there are more than two parties in America and would give all Americans a chance to support a party that truly lines up with their ideals
