It would behoove us as a nation to require all law enforcement officers to wear cameras and microphones at all times while on duty. This would increase the accountability we as a nation can place upon law enforcement. There should also be an impartial panel that periodically reviews the visual and audio information compiled by these devices worn by law enforcement members in every community to maintain a modicum of accountability. Additionally, this visual and audio information should be stored to be used as evidence in cases pertaining to excessive force complaints against law enforcement. Police departments that do not enforce the wearing off these devices would face penalties.
