We request a mandate capping, or limiting, congressional terms to no more than 8 years, for both House and Senate, thus aligning Congress with the presidential term cap. This would limit, and hopefully eliminate, the corruption of career politicians and also help keep Congress in touch with the wishes of the American people. As it stands, the career politicians (for example, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, both at age 72) are so out of touch, it should be mandatory they retire having served 20-plus years already. It's time for a change and that can only happen when those in power are changed out!
