Chris Brown has been an embarrassment. He has engaged in violent criminal behavior and habitually violated his parole. At a time when poor young black men are being sent to prison in record numbers, it is important to send a message to young people that justice is blind and that wealth does not guarantee special treatment. Chris Brown must learn that the rules in fact do apply to him and apparently no amount of probation or rehab is going to help him learn that lesson in the way that jail time will. Enough is enough.
