Push for a 28th constutional amendment which firmly addresses, defines, and protects the rights of the LGBT community.

Created by E.S. on April 08, 2013

Decades of protest, debate, and political tension has lead to many improvements in how the US government treats its LGBT citizens. However, progress is reaching a plateau stage in many states and in others it is being undone. Let us make a definitive stand on this issue of human rights and join together to finally propose and ratify a constitutional amendment which would guarantee LGBT individuals the same rights and privileges as every other US citizen. Just as the 19th amendment put an end to American women having no say in their government, let us propose a 28th amendment to end the LGBT community's battle for human rights. This amendment should address, define, and resolve, all issues of labor and the workforce, marriage and adoption, and healthcare.
