Our national debate has devolved into hyper-partisanship due to so many lawmakers trying to keep their jobs, they fail to actually DO their jobs. America isn't extreme, its moderate. However, aside from the presidential election, most voters are party base voters which forces lawmakers to the extremes to get those votes.
Six years in the House, twelve in the Senate. If you as a lawmaker cannot serve the American people in less time than it took our founding fathers to win a war and create a new country, you need to step aside.
Politics should be a calling, a service, not a career. If we can change the people we can change the debate. And if we can change the debate to the actual ISSUES then we can be great.
Do this Mr. President. Put it to your opponents. Make them take a stand
