Push to amend the constitution so that all elected offices be publicly finance

Created by G.D. on October 28, 2011

Money in politics can buy politicians. If everyone who ran for government office had to be publicly financed, companies and individuals could not contribute to their candidate disproportionally. Taking the money out of politics would mean that people would then regain as much influence as corporations. Corporations and individuals have used large sums of money in the past, in the present, and will in the future to push their agenda. By taking the money out of politics, we could all go back to one person one vote, without the influence of people or companies that do not have the best interest of the United States of America at heart.
