Push for an amendment to the Constitution defining marriage as "the union between consenting adults."

Created by S.H. on March 20, 2013

"Marriage, the union between consenting adults, is a right that shall not be infringed upon by any government body."

All should be treated equally under the law.

While this amendment applies entirely to getting government out of our bedrooms, and treating all married individuals alike, it does not have any power over churches, ministers, or individuals, but leaves them entirely free to decide their own doctrines on marriage. Churches have the right to conduct, or refuse to conduct, any wedding ceremony as they see fit. Nothing in this amendment gives any power to punish any individual, such as wedding planners, photographers, cake decorators, etc., who refuse their services for any reason.
