Push for an Amendment to the Constitution to explicitly define the salary of federally elected officials.

The salary of a federally elected official should invariably represent the median salary of their constituency. US House members should receive compensation for their service equivalent to the median income of the district they represent plus 10%. US Senators should be compensated accordingly for the statewide median income plus 10%. The Vice-President, should be compensated based on the median income of the nation plus 10% and the President would likewise be compensated based on the median income of the entire nation plus 15%. Compensation should be adjusted annually at a fixed rate of 2.5% with an income reassessment every ten years based on the latest census data. The initial assessment to be based off the 2010 census and adjusted accordingly. Reassessment would occur in 2021.
