Push an ammendment to limit the number of terms members of the congress can serve.

Created by A.L. on November 02, 2011

Congress may say "We don’t need term limits, we already have them — they’re called elections." But we all know this is not true. The odds are in favor of incumbents when it comes to elections so much that the vast majority get voted back in. Here are 2 reasons why this happens:

1. Gerrymandering. Congressional districts are drawn and designed to protect incumbents.
2.The average congressional office is a taxpayer funded reelection campaign office.

This is not the system we want. Limit the number of terms a member of congress can serve.
