push Amtrak and Via Rail Canada to coordinate their ticketing systems to create a seamless North American rail network.

Created by S.S. on September 24, 2012

Currently, if a passenger wishes to travel to and from Canada via passenger train, they must first book with Amtrak to Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver. From those destinations, they must separately book with Via Rail Canada. Coordinating this travel can be burdensome.

We would like the Obama administration to work on making Amtrak and Via Rail Canada coordinate ticketing systems, system passes, bring back the North American Rail Pass, and connect systems at Port Huron-Sarnia, and connect Minneapolis-St. Paul to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
