Recently the Supreme Court by slim margin voted in favor of the "Citizens United" case. This has given corporations recognition as "people". Thus giving corporations the power of unlimited campaign contributions. This petition encourages the White House to encourage and support a legislative act to successfully reverse this effect of the Court's decision. We must use the design of "checks and balances" via the congress to level the playing field for real people and real voters who do not have anywhere near the capital of these entities. This will successfully prevent the political system to be dominated by corporate interests and safeguard the election process for the Republic.
