Push for a Bill to Reform the Supreme Court

Created by R.J. on August 15, 2014

We the people request for the following adjustments to the current appointment procedures and length of tenure of a Justice. United States Supreme Court Justices should serve only a term of ten years limiting the effects of any one person’s ideological beliefs or political agenda. United States Supreme Court Justices should no longer be appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by Congress. The United States Supreme Court Justices should be nominated and elected by the highest court’s presiding within all the states in the union. A United States Supreme Court Justice may also be dismissed from the bench before their ten year tenure ends if it is found that their decisions are based on religious beliefs, political influences, and/or personal gain.
