The purpose of prosecuting white collar crime offenders is to prevent financial loss for others. America is harshly pursuing white collar offenders. This is not serving the purpose of justice, which is, to prevent financial loss. Instead, it creates more loses for taxpayers. The investigators, prosecutors, prisoners and their facilities are being financed by taxpayers’ money.
We demand that;
1) The government limit the amount spent on prosecuting an offender to the amount of loss they have caused
2) White collar crimes should be less punishable than violent crimes. White collar crime offenders that caused financial loss of less than a billion dollars should never serve a sentence greater than ten years
3) Prosecutors should be forced to demand the funds back instead of pursuing punishment
