Push the Congress to allow the President "Line Item VETO" power.

Created by G.B. on March 28, 2013

Part of the biggest problem Americans face in regard to the national budget are "rider" bills; also known as "Pork Barrel". These rider bills don't have the ability or merit to stand on their own, and most times they are hidden from the American public and attached to popular bills that Americans do want. Giving the President line item VETO power would ensure that the "Buck Does Stop" with the President. This does two things. It gets rid of the excuses of why something got signed into law ("I had to because the main provision was important"). It also holds public servants accountable to their constituents.
