During the campaign in 2007-2008 Senator Obama said that as President he would sign the Freedom of Choice Act. Understandably during the 111th Congress other legislative fights took precedent over this legislation.
But now that States have enacted a record shattering number of laws prohibiting or preventing a woman's right to choose it has become more important than ever to reintroduce and push for the Freedom of Choice Act once again.
