Push for a Constitutional Amendment guaranteeing the right to vote and elimination of the Electoral College

There is no specific federal right in the US Constitution giving a citizen of the United States the right to vote. In recent years via voter caging, voter ID laws, etc, State governments have placed the onus of the citizen to prove their right to vote and/or establish hurdles preventing them from exercising their perceived right to vote. An amendment guaranteeing the right to vote and placing the onus on the State to prove that person can't vote would resolve future voter obstructionist acts. Further, the Electoral College is outdated. The same amendment should abolish the College and select our President and Vice President via a popular vote of the people. Keeping it a simple proposition for campaigning and representing the views of the people as a whole, not for regional considerations.
