Push for a Constitutional Amendment that the Presidency shall be elected by popular vote of the U.S. Citizenry.

Created by D.G. on January 22, 2013

I petition the Obama Administration to push for the ratification of an Constitution Amendment to elect the President and Vice President by way of popular vote. The President of the United States represents the entire country and should be elected as such. It is a civil right that every Citizen shall have equal voting rights under the Constitution. In the current electoral college system, states have the right to depress the value of vote through redistricting and passing laws to assign electors by proportion. This amendment will reaffirm your commitment to move beyond the era of blue states and red states. This amendment will truly make this government by the people and for the people.
