Push for a constitutional amendment to replace private campaign funding with public funds.

I believe that campaign contributions and issue ads from businesses and from higher-income individuals tend to weed out candidates who seek to address the needs of the common man. Replacing those funding sources with public money should give us more freedom to elect leaders to speak to our interests. For these reasons, I would like to ask the President to push hard for a constitutional amendment to ban private campaign funding at the federal and state levels, and to replace that funding with a transparent publicly-funded campaign finance system.
