push a Constitutional amendment to select members of the House of Representatives by draft.

Created by J.M. on January 16, 2013

For too long, the demographics of Congress have not been representative of those of the country. There is entirely too much representation by the wealthy that have little in common with the average American. As a result, the American people suffer with poor representation that does not understand our problems, and serves only to further its own interests.

To solve this problem, I propose an amendment to the Constitution. Representatives in the House should be selected from the pool of all eligible voters of at least 25 years of age. The selected individuals will serve a two year internship for the current Representative, during which they learn the skills they need to serve the American people. Upon completion of their internship, they serve an additional two year term as Representative.
