Push for the enactment of the 2013 First-Time Homebuyers Tax Credit.

Created by D.M. on February 12, 2013

Although the housing market is showing signs of recovery, more can be done to stregthen this important segment of the economy and to make purchasing a new home more affordable. Many homes are still under water, huge numbers of foreclosures are still being held by the banks, and many buyers are facing tougher credit and larger down payment requirements. The President should therefore move forward legislation enacting the 2013 First-Time Homebuyers Tax Credit for $15,000. Said credit will enable more buyers to enter the market, reduce the number of under-valued properties, raise overall home values, and produce many more jobs. All things that will strengthen our road to recovery.
