Way to many people die while on a waiting list for suitable organ transplants. Even people who get transplants have a lower quality of life because of the long wait times.
This could be avoided if everyone was considered an automatic donor unless they chose to opt out instead of the current situation where one has to opt in to be a donor.
Let's admit it, many people are either lazy or just don't get around to it on their own even if they support being a donor.
