Push forward the legislation “Glass–Steagall Restoration Act of 2011” (H.R. 2451) to prevent future economic collapse

Created by D.M. on January 03, 2013

The "repeal" of the Glass-Steagall Act is considered by most economists to be the cause of our current finical crisis. Reenactment of this policy should not only be suggested but required by the 113th Congress. In the HOR currently representative Maurice D. Hinchey (D-NY) has introduced “Glass–Steagall Restoration Act of 2011” (H.R. 2451). This legislation needs to be on the forefront of issues when it comes to our economy and preventing any future crisis.
