push for full or partial (at least 50%) dissolution of student loans or ease bankruptcy regulations on private loans.

Created by D.P. on October 27, 2011

Student loans are out of control. The cost to attend a university, regardless of location (West Virginia, Harvard, Texas A&M, or a California State University), tuition and costs of attendance are outrageously expensive. Pay as you earn isn't enough. And, people of all ages and sociological backgrounds, including young and older re-entry students, need serious relief through bankruptcy or other means.

This petition calls for actions that (a) eliminate perverse collection incentives and private loan limit collections and (b) ensure relief for borrowers when denied denied in bankruptcy proceedings and (c) a bill that restores rights to dissolve loans in bankruptcy proceedings especially for private loans.
