Push for increased funding for community colleges around the country but with special focus on low-income areas.

Created by S.M. on December 20, 2012

The United States currently has millions of open jobs but workers often do not have the skills to fill them, due to a variety of factors but mainly due to the fact that the cost of college tuition has increased substantially in the past decade and that community colleges have not risen to fill the void in an efficient manner. Seeing that the unemployment rate remains relatively high and the number of people who are underemployed is even higher, the Obama Administration should make community college funding a priority, as the President has repeatedly stated but which has seemingly faded from the White House's radar in these chaotic times.
