push for legislation to eliminate gerrymandering by political parties in favor of nonpartisan redistricting.

Created by K.W. on March 04, 2013

The majority of congressional districts are non-competitive largely due to political gerrymandering by incumbent politicians. This artificial manipulation of district lines leads to unbalanced races and deepens political divides.

Expecting Congress to regulate the system that allowed them to get into office in the first place is not likely, hence the issue. Action will only be driven by the people demanding ethical behavior by our representation. Redrawing districts lines should be done by an independent group based on census data only. No-party influence.

Help get Gerrymandering out of the political system by putting pressure on Congress to represent the people and not themselves!
