push legislation to keep our arts programs strong in our public education institutions.

Created by C.D. on December 20, 2012

Music, Art, and Drama programs have been dropped from curriculum across the country labeled as "unnecessary". Studies have shown that music and art can increase success in the core studies, discipline, as well as foster healthy forms of expression. There are so many things to lead our youth astray in today's jaded society. It's become so easy for our kids to access drugs, guns, and become involved in groups that promote bigotry and hatred. Music and Art, in all its forms, can create an environment where kids can work through not just their anger, aggression and other negative feelings, but their joys and highs. Our arts programs are integral parts of our education process and for them to get tossed aside for "test-based" learning and overzealous sports programs.
